he's already won the d-bag of the year award for 2012

2012 is off to a spectacularly bad start.  And I came to that assessment by Day 2.

I followed some well-intentioned, albeit extremely poor, advice--  
"Maybe you should talk to X.  It has been six months and he is still trying.  Maybe he made a mistake and truly regrets it.  Just hear him out."



Yeah, or maybe he's still just a jerk.

I picked up the phone and the voice on the other end was instantly familiar and warm.  But the conversation was awkward, stilted.  He apologized repeatedly and made promises to me with no hesitance.  I thought he wanted to fix things.  I thought he wanted to fix us.

And less than 24 hours later, I learned he had lied to me.

Again.




God, I am so fucking naive.
