It's
funny, I sort of thought I had my life planned out for the next couple
of years. Marry my college sweetheart, move back to our home state, buy
a house-- you know, all those grown-up-almost-thirty milestones. Well,
clearly, this isn't really happening anymore. Terrifying?
Absolutely. But it doesn't have to be that way. Instead, it can be an
opportunity to try new things. At least that's what I'll keep telling
myself.
And so, in no particular order, here's my 30 before 30 list:
-
attempt a sport I've never tried before
-
eat at a Michelin star restaurant
-
upgrade to a "big girl bedroom"
-
fly a kite on the beach
- reach my goal weight
-
learn to use power tools
- successfully make french macarons
-
attend an outdoor concert
-
make homemade pasta
-
get another stamp in my passport
- compile a Bengali family cookbook
-
go wine tasting at a vineyard
- own a pair of designer shoes
-
run a 5k
- skydiving
- learn to swim
-
face my fear of heights
-
take salsa dancing lessons
-
spend the afternoon on a sailboat
-
attend a live taping of a show/movie
-
volcano hike in a tropical destination
- go vegetarian for a month
- volunteer at the hospital
-
wear a bikini in public
-
get inked
-
see a "world wonder"
-
order omakase at a sushi place
- mentor at a local school
-
sleep under the stars
Eighteen months, y'all... Let the countdown begin.
