Psst... can I tell you a secret?


It's been a really rough year.  I don't really want to get into it at this point, but dang, what hasn't felt on the verge of collapsing?

My last post was all about conquering 2013, though I feel like it might have stomped on me.  My head is pounding; my heart is bruised.  And my stomach has twisted itself into a pretzel.  It makes me laugh in a not-funny way and too many days I've ended up a mascara-streaked mess.

But, the year isn't over yet.  And, contrary to how I've been feeling, everything hasn't actually broken to pieces.

So, 2013, how about it?  Can we give this another try?
