retail therapy weekend

I love buying gifts for people.  Taking the time to find something that I think is just perfect for them requires some effort, yes, but I happily spend hours clicking through links and browsing the boutique shelves.

Evidently, thoughtfulness is overrated.  Early last week, I have received package after package for M's birthday.  I ordered everything ages ago due to the turnaround time-- international shipping, monograms, etc.  Seeing as how they were bought for a specific person in mind, I can't exactly re-gift them and they are, regretfully, non-returnable.

The pile of boxes shoved in the corner of my office is less-than-awesome and I'm still not quite sure what to do about it.  But, I decided to buy a few gifts for myself to feel better.  Hey, cheaper than a therapist, right?

I might be stuck with a stupidly expensive engraved tie clip, but at least now I have a few pretty items for myself as well.
